Seine Cruise

While taking a cruise on the many boats on the Seine along with hordes of other tourists may seem like something to avoid, this is a surprisingly rewarding activity. This tour takes only about 2 hours and covers so many of the awesome sights of the city. As you drift by sitting on the boat with a glass of wine in hand and take in across everything from historical monuments to people getting dance lessons on the banks of the Seine, your feet will thank you for a respite from the miles and miles walking you have done (or are going to do) in Paris.
What's a recommended company to cruise with on the Seine?
We suggest you check out Bateaux Mouches, probably the most famous boat service in Paris. However, feel free to check out other services if you choose to, they are all pretty alike. We don't recommend the dinner service on the boats, instead buy some snacks and bring it on board with you if you must nosh during the trip. You can also buy small bottles of wine and beer just before you board the boats.
Boarding and landing take place at the Port de la Conférence-Pont de l'Alma, on the Rive Droite, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. To get there, take line 9 to the Alma-Marceau station, and it's a short walk to the pier.
The cruise costs €11.50 for adults, €5.5 for children under 12, and is free for children below 4. There are also several lunch and dinner packages, which we do not recommend.
